How to match colours in an outfit
The builder helps you visually assess colour combinations before shopping or trying on clothes. Choose colors for each clothing item to see how they work together.
The 60-30-10 Rule
The classic colour balance rule: 60% is the dominant colour (usually bottom or outerwear), 30% is secondary (top), 10% is an accent (accessories, shoes). This ratio creates a sense of unity.
Neutral base
White, grey, beige, black and navy are neutral colours that go with almost any accent. Build your outfit from a neutral base and add 1–2 colour accents.
Shoes and accessories
Shoes can match one of the outfit elements or you can choose a neutral colour. An accessory (bag, scarf) is a great way to add an accent colour without overloading the look.
Outerwear
A coat or jacket sets the tone for the whole outfit — it is the first thing people notice. Neutral outerwear gives freedom in colour choices, while a bright coat calls for more restrained clothing underneath.
FAQ
How do I check if outfit colours match?
Click each block and choose a colour — the tool will rate the harmony across several parameters.
How many colours should an outfit have?
Ideally 2–3 colours: one dominant, one secondary and one accent. More than three active colours can look overwhelming.
Are outerwear and accessory required?
No, they are optional. Analysis is done on the selected colours — you can evaluate an outfit with just the three base elements: top, bottom and shoes.
